Yozakura Family episode 6 is adapting manga chapter 11 and manga chapter 15. The order of the adaptation in this episode is interwined one another.

General Plot

Yozakura Family Ayaka

Ayaka introducing herself

Even though going back and forth, the first part of the episode adapt chapter 15 first which is first Ayaka introduction. She kills anybody she loves by piercing them with needles.

Yozakura Family Taiyo and Shion

Taiyo and Shion playing games

The latter part of the episode mainly introduce how Shion is actually doing her Spy job. It is through a game and it is overall pretty entertaining.

Aditional and Changed Scene

There is noticeable difference compared to the manga for this episode adaptation. Let’s just talk about it.

Ayaka being a hacker

Ayaka revealed to be a hacker

In the manga Ayaka was not a hacker (at least how i remember it). I double checked into chapter 15 and confirmed that this is the case (unless it was adapting another manga chapter).

More detailed Shion Scene

Yozakura Family Shion Game

Taiyo and Shion need to stop horde of Drone in the anime

In the manga the thing Shion and Taiyo need to stop is actually a missle. However as you can see here, it is not the case.

Taiyo and Shion in the anime actually need to stop a helicopter and a horde of drone. In the manga, they both need to stop a missle, which i tell you is very different indeed.

Honest Thought

This episode change many pivotal things from the scene and what i mainly want to talk about is Shion scene. This particular scene feels a bit off for me.

As i elaborate in the manga they were stopping missles while in the anime they were stopping Helicopter and drones. It feels the feat of Shion genius hacker nerfed a little bit there.

Conclusion

With 2 episode adaptation compared to episode 5 adapting 3 episode, the pacing is still good.  However i don’t really agree with how anime change the Shion scene.

Overall i give it 4/5. The Episode itself is good and connect chapter 11 and chapter 15 of the manga seamlessly.
