Welcome back to Fuuto Pi Episode review, This time for Fuuto Pi Episode 2. If you haven’t seen Episode 1 Review check it out here.
Yesterday Episode was packed right? Haha yeah, i know, not really. It lacks battle scene…hopefuly this episode cover it right? Now let’s delve into it.
Story Summary
I was so sure last episode that this episode will begin with Kamen Rider W transformation, but oh well. Fuuto Pi episode 2 actually begin with the villain running away. Pretty disappointing, but let’s move on.
Shotaro and Philip then begin searching via Gaia Library. It is revealed then that The Dopant name is Road Dopant. Road ability is using high speed and temperature to cut through space thus creating path to another dimension.
In addition Philip described further that the black color of the “Other Fuuto” is not just black. It is made from Road user body component itself. In short, the passage of “Other Fuuto” is being created by human flesh.
This connects with why Road Dopant is always hungry and murdering people because Road Dopant will need to replenish that energy fast.
The next goal is then to find Tokime. Philip however being to worry as he think Shotaro has a bias towards Tokime.
Not long after you can see a familiar face (for old fans). Well maybe not really sorry, as it is a sub-character. It is Akira, you can see him from the very last episode of Kamen Rider W. Akira was a child then, now he is a Middle Schooler.
Akira give Shotaro a notebook containing rumors from all his classmates about “The Witch”. One of those rumors pick Shotaro interest.
The rumor was about two students meeting “The Witch”. These two students were attacked (likely by Road Dopant) but weird enough “The Witch” which are seen creeping on the Dogwood tree is telling them to go away.
What I Like
For Fuuto Pi episode 2, I like the transformation scene. It is very cool. To top it off, any of you who had watched Kamen Rider W know the catchphrase right? “Time To Count Up Your Sins”. It’s finally there, that one word…so nostalgic.
Kamen Rider W artstyle is very spot on. The animation is gorgeous. Also, the transformation music is very-very good, It brings the hype for the “Henshin” scene.
What I Dislike
Despite all the nostalgic factor and all those old Kamen Rider W terminology old fans had already knows (like Gaia Library for example), Fuuto Pi episode 2 lacks Battle Scene once more.
I’m literally losing my mind because the episode start with the villain retreat (hence no fight scene) and then the episode end with another cliffhanger (hence no fight scene again). I’m just hoping the fight scene will be there because it is the bread and butter for Kamen Rider after all.
Conclusion
Fuuto Pi Episode 2 supposed to serve as climax for Episode 1, however it stopped right before the fight scene (which is the supposed climax) happens. So, again, i’m sorry to say to you it lack what makes Kamen Rider Series a Kamen Rider….A FIGHT SCENE.
However it has at least a perfectly made “Henshin”scene. On the other hand the music composition is still perfect and made even better with this episode, thanks to the “Henshin” scene. The animation is top notch for an adaptation of Tokusatsu series. For the lack of the fight scene i give it a solid 4 out of 5.
