FGO Farming
For FGO the most basic thing to do is farming. Much of the gameplay (90% of it) consist of farming.
Farming here, i limit the scope into: Exp Farming, QP Farming, and mostly Event lv 90 nodes farming.
It is of course without question that a new account target is to do whatever necessary to make farming as fast as possible.
There is however three way you can do it. You can do it by Quick Loop 3T Farming, Arts Loop 3T Farming, and Buster Loop 3T Farming. However, for a new account which one is easier?
For easier explanation, let’s just breakdown the requirement for each Looping
Quick Loop
Generally requirement for Quick Loop in FGO is:
- Ruler Skadi
- Caster Skadi
- 1 Quick DPS (usually AOE), preferable SSR servant
- 50% NP CE or Kaleidoscope
Pros
- Some Quick servant can use Black Grail for more damage, like Voyager and Edmond Dantes.
- In some case, doesn’t need to use Mystic Code Swap Skill
- Excess stars can be used for critical Hits
Cons
- In some case need to max servant NP Append Skill to lv 10
- Limited CE unless you have either 2 of Ruler Skadi, Caster Skadi, or Oberon
- Generally harder to use in Nodes with less enemy number than 3
Arts Loop
Generally requirement for Arts Loop in FGO is:
- Castoria (Caster Artoria)
- 1 Arts DPS (usually AOE)
Pros
- In most case, more flexibility in using CE
- In most case, more flexibility using Mystic Codes
- In most case, doesn’t need to even level up Append Skill
- Can just use Chen Gong as a DPS (which is F2P option)
Cons
- Generally harder to use in Nodes with less enemy number than 3
- No Excess stars for critical hits
Buster Loop
Generally requirement for Buster Loop in FGO is:
- Koyanskaya of Light (Assassin)
- Oberon (optional)
- 1 Buster DPS (usually AOE), preferable SSR servant
- NP Append Skill LV 10 (Except for example: Melusiene, Archetype: Earth, Tonelico)
- Atlas Academy Uniform (for clicking less button)
- All Buster DPS Skill must be maxed to Level 10
Pros
- Not limited to Enemy number, can do odd enemy number nodes easily
Cons
- In most case, need Np Append Np Skill maxed (level 10)
- In most case, must use 50% NP CE
- Buster DPS Skills must be maxed out
- Limited Mystic codes all of which are: Chalea Combat Uniform, Atlas Academy Uniform, and Decisive Battle-Chaldea Uniform
So, Which one should i choose?
I talk purely from the perspective of new player.
Based on that, the best investment to make is toward an easier farming for EXP and QP.
With all requirement i mention above for Buster Loop, Quick Loop, and Arts Loop it is safe to say that the best investment is definitely Arts Loop. After all, all you need is just 1 Castoria and you are set to go.
Where to go after that?
So in FGO you already got Arts Loop covered. Then it is time to invest for endgame.
The best investment you make is of course Buster Loop. It is not dependant on odd number of enemies. However, if you think Buster is too intimidating for now, the best way around it is to start saving to roll for Oberon (the other half of the Buster Loop).
